Living in or traveling through South Korea is a culinary dream, but sometimes, you just crave the deep, complex, and comforting spices of authentic South Asian cuisine. Finding a truly great spot can be a challenge outside of the highly commercialized areas like Itaewon.
However, I am thrilled to report that I have found a hidden gem. After multiple visits, I can confidently say that as of July 2026, Namaste Asia (나마스테 아시아) in Incheon’s Geomdan neighborhood serves the absolute best Indian and Nepali food we have had in the entire Seoul and Gyeonggi province area.
If you are an expat missing the taste of home, or a traveler looking to mix up your meal itinerary, here is everything you need to know about visiting Namaste.
How to Get There
Getting to Namaste Asia is incredibly straightforward, especially if you are utilizing the subway system.
Take the Incheon Line 2 subway and get off at Geomdan Sageori Station. Head out of Exit 2, walk straight for about 3 to 5 minutes, and then cross the main road. Voilà! You will easily spot the restaurant's bright signage.

I’ve included a helpful map here so you can trace the exact walking route from the station. When you arrive, you will see the main storefront and banner. Just head down the warmly lit, welcoming staircase to enter the restaurant.
The Vibe: Clean, Welcoming, and Aromatic

The moment you open the doors, you are instantly greeted by the most delicious, mouth-watering scent of toasted spices and simmering curries. The interior is exceptionally clean, spacious, and decorated with beautiful cultural accents.
One of the best indicators of a great international restaurant is its clientele. Incheon has a large population of Asian expats living here for work, and Namaste Asia is clearly a beloved local hub. We have visited over five times already, and every single time, there are both Koreans and foreigners who are thoroughly enjoying their meals.

To top it off, the staff—who are all native to India and Nepal—are extremely polite, attentive, and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience.
Ordering Made Easy: Kiosks & Classic Menus
If you are worried about a language barrier, don't be! Namaste Asia has seamlessly blended technology with traditional hospitality.

Every single table is equipped with a digital self-order kiosk. The interface is fully available in both English and Korean, making it incredibly easy to customize your order at your own pace without feeling rushed.
However, if you are someone who prefers a tactile experience or struggles with digital ordering screens, Namaste Asia is wonderfully accommodating. They have a physical, multi-page menu firmly attached to a clipboard right on your table. It also features clear pictures and dual English/Korean descriptions, so you are covered either way.

The Taste Test: What We Ordered
The menu is a massive, beautiful spread of traditional Indian classics (think rich curries, fresh naan, fragrant rice, and tandoori chicken) and authentic Nepali dishes (including unique curries, rice dishes, and tender lamb). We were a hungry group, and the food absolutely blew us away.
My Order: The Chicken Curry Set

I went with the hearty Chicken Curry Set. This absolute feast comes with a generous mound of incredibly flavorful Biryani (spiced rice), a rich and creamy Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) curry, a fresh side salad with yogurt dressing, and a perfectly charred, smoky piece of Tandoori Chicken right on top. Every bite was an explosion of flavor.
My Brother & Sister-in-Law's Order: Nepali Chicken Curry & Biryani

My brother and his wife decided to mix it up by ordering the Nepali-style Chicken Curry alongside a massive bowl of Indian Biryani, plus some extra plain white rice to soak up every last drop of the sauce. The Nepali curry has a beautifully rich, slightly different spice profile from the Indian Makhani—it was hearty, deeply savory, and packed with tender chunks of chicken and ginger.
We passed the dishes around, and the verdict was unanimous: we all loved the food so much. The spices were perfectly balanced, the portions were generous, and everything tasted wonderfully fresh.
A Pro-Tip for the Road: Take Home a Meal Kit!
Here is my absolute favorite insider tip for Namaste Asia: you can actually buy packaged Biryani meal kits directly from the store to take home!
We bought a few the last time we visited, and I can confirm that when you make it in your own kitchen, it tastes just as good and "home-made" as it does sitting in the restaurant. It is the perfect way to satisfy your cravings on days when you just don't feel like taking the subway.
If you are anywhere near Incheon, do yourself a favor and put Namaste Asia on your must-visit list.
